Hello friends, you’ve found us and you are very welcome! We are Jenny and Lucy and this is our blog, Two Crafty Brownies. For us, making beautiful things brings an immense sense of fulfillment and joy. Please join us on our hopeful, creative adventures, where we will sew, crochet, embroider, appliqué, decoupage, upcycle, paper cut …. and bake our way into your hearts!

It's funny. Both of us, independently of each other, had been chatting to friends and family about our desire to set something up and to work together, but we weren’t quite sure about time commitments, the how, what, when and so on. What resonated for us, was that our friends had told both of us that we just needed to start somewhere. A polite way of telling us not to procrastinate, to just start something, begin somewhere and get on with it! That is exactly what we did and why you are reading this now. How exciting!
So for our very first making post, we have decided to set each other a challenge with that very theme: JUST START (for goodness sake!). Hopefully we will earn BROWNIE POINTS with each other. Do you see what we did there? We expect this will become a feature - earning brownie points as we go. We may even give them out to our favourite crafters, bloggers, books etc. Watch this space! For this challenge, we are required to make a gift for each other for our sewing room/space. It should somehow contain the message, ‘Just Start’ and should show off a few of our making skills, but can be any craft we like. Neither of us know what the other is going to craft. Whatever we make will become our very first tutorials, so we will be showing you how to make the gifts we give to each other.
So tune back in this Friday, November 6th to see what we have made and to read the first of our tutorials. There will be sneaky peeks of our projects on instagram so follow us @twocraftybrownies and find us on pinterest too!
We can't go any further without saying a huge and heartfelt thank you to all of our family and friends for supporting us and patiently putting up with our building excitement about our venture for many months. A special thank you to Jenny's son C, our calm and patient graphic designer, without whom we would have struggled to get the look we wanted.
Until we see you again, here are a few pics of some of our recent makes and bakes.
See you soon!
Jenny and Lucy xx
